What is Mines?

Mines is a provably-fair crypto-casino original: a 5×5 grid of 25 tiles hides a number of mines you choose (1–24). You reveal tiles one by one — each safe tile is a gem that raises your multiplier. Reveal a mine and you lose the bet. Cash out any time to lock in your current multiplier. The more mines and the more gems you collect, the bigger the multiplier — and the lower your chance of getting there.

How this Mines calculator works

Every Mines round is pure probability, so the exact multiplier is fully computable. For M mines and k gems collected safely, the chance of surviving is:

P(survive k gems) = C(25−M, k) ÷ C(25, k)
Cashout multiplier = 0.99 ÷ P(survive k)   (the 0.99 is the built-in 1% house edge)

That is exactly what the calculator above computes — the same formula the casino itself uses. It matches real Stake-style Mines multipliers (e.g. 3 mines & 1 gem = 1.13×, 24 mines & 1 gem = 24.75×).

Is Mines rigged? The honest answer

No — but it is not beatable either. Mines is provably fair: you can verify each round’s outcome was fixed before you played, using the server seed, client seed and nonce. What you cannot change is the math: the house keeps a fixed 1% edge on every bet, whatever mine count you pick. Over the long run you get back about $0.99 per $1 wagered. No pattern, tile order or “strategy” changes that — anyone selling a Mines predictor is selling you a lie.
